Welcome to Melt Aroma Candles! We are so glad you’re here. Since we started in our little house and launched our online store, our goal has been to provide beautifully scented, high-quality candles and a fantastic shopping experience. These Terms of Service are here to make sure we’re all on the same page about how things work when you browse and purchase from us. By using our website and placing an order, you agree to these terms. Think of it as a handshake between friends!
1. Our Products
- Handmade & Unique: Every Melt Aroma Candle is hand-poured and inspected by our small team. Because our products, like the unique Serene Garden or Matcha Latte scents, are handcrafted, slight variations in color, scent intensity, or minor cosmetic details (like the position of the wick) are normal and part of the beauty of a handmade item. These slight differences are not defects.
- Safety First (Candle Care): You are responsible for the safe use of your candle. Always follow basic candle care instructions (found on the bottom label of your jar or on our FAQ page), such as trimming the wick, never leaving a candle unattended, and keeping it away from drafts and children.
2. Orders and Acceptance
- Order Confirmation: When you place an order, you will receive an immediate confirmation email. This means we have received your request, but it is not a final acceptance of your order.
- Order Acceptance: We officially accept your order when we ship the product and send you a shipping confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including product availability, errors in the price or product description, or suspicion of fraudulent activity.
3. Payment
- Payment Method: As a small business, we currently accept PayPal exclusively for all transactions. By placing an order, you agree to pay the total amount specified, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees, through the PayPal platform.
- Pricing: All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice.
4. Shipping, Returns, and Exchanges
- Shipping Policy: By ordering, you agree to our separate Shipping Policy, which states that we only ship within the United States and outlines our processing times, shipping rates, and temperature-aware packaging protocols.
- Damages: If your candle arrives damaged (broken glass, etc.), please refer to our Shipping Policy. We require photo proof within 48 hours to arrange a replacement; we always want to make it right!
- Returns: Due to the nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns on used candles. If you wish to return an unused, unlit candle, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including the unique names of our collections (The Lady’s Candle, Dark Petals, etc.), images, logo (Melt Aroma Candles), and all product descriptions, is the property of Melt Aroma Candles and is protected by copyright laws. You may not use any content without our prior written permission.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, where our small operation is based.
